CAA Club Group is seeking a highly motivated individual contributor to join the team in the role of Accountant in our Thornhill office

What You Will Do:
- Prepare standard journal entries on a monthly basis
- Prepare working paper files and schedules to support monthly account reconciliations, and investigate unusual items as necessary
- Take ownership to understand and resolve accounting issues, should they arise
- Prepare reports such as income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, etc.
- Assist in the preparation of materials and schedules to support the internal and external financial statements
- Reconcile non-complex balance sheet accounts (e.g. low volume, routine transactions that clear on a regular basis)
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory reporting requirements
- Interact with external and other auditors
- Assist in researching technical accounting literature
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (i.e. Accounting)
- Enrolled and pursuing the CPA designation preferred
- 1-2 years’ experience in Accounting
- Basic understanding of accounting systems
- Basic knowledge of Excel
- Accuracy and attention to detail and timeliness
- Ability to work independently with a moderate level of supervision
- SAP experience is an asset
