The General Accountant will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to execute day-to-day reporting activities and assist with general accounting activities.

Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle accounting, A/R, A/P, cash flow, and bank reconciliation.
- Accounts Reconciliation, such as revenue, intercompany, etc.
- Support the Finance department in general accounting processes, month-end close procedures, and audit preparation.
- Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data.
- Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Document financial transactions by entering account information.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Analyze financial information and summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
- Assist with the management of cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports, ensuring the completion of bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review financial data for accuracy, correctness, and completeness.
- Assist the Finance department with special projects as assigned.
- Support Audit and Regulatory requirements
- Tax compliances for the brands being managed.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting and/or finance.
- A CPA designation or in pursuit of designation is preferred.
- Professional accounting degree mandatory.
- Experience with Global operations / global environment will be an added advantage / preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills, working knowledge of SAGE or Agresso software considered an asset.
- Knowledge of full accounting cycle, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow, and bank reconciliation.
- Good knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
- Thorough knowledge of necessary accounting procedures and principles.
- Experience with financial reporting is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems: Excel and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
