Allworth & Associates is conveniently located in Oakville, ON, and has been providing Accounting, Tax Preparation, Bookkeeping, and Payroll Services since 1994. Looking to expand our team with the addition of a vibrant Accounting Manager that is as passionate as we are about our people, clients, and the accounting profession!
Responsibilities:
· Detailed review of notice to reader, review and audit files
· Detailed review of corporate, personal tax, and trust returns
· Detailed review of T4’s and T5’s to ensure compliance
· Present financial statements at client AGM’s
· Educating, supervising, and mentoring staff
· Communication with clients, other professionals, and Canada Revenue Agency
· Track client deadlines and assist with scheduling
· Develop and maintain strong long-term working relationships with key internal decision-makers
· Provide input into staff performance reviews
· Foster a positive, professional, and constructive environment for clients and staff
Qualifications/Requirements:
· CPA designation
· 3+ years’ post-designation experience in public accounting preferably with a small to medium size firm
· Experience in performing and reviewing accounting, assurance, and tax files
· Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises and Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations
· Strong knowledge of Canadian Auditing Standards and Canadian Standards for Review Engagements
· Strong knowledge of both personal and corporate tax
· Proficiency in Caseware Working Papers
· Experience with Sage 50 and Quickbooks
· In-depth tax certification an asset
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Strong accuracy and attention to detail
· Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
· Extended hours during personal tax season and occasionally as the volume of work and deadlines require
