The Carrier Group of Companies is a Canadian company that manufactures lumber, fabricates steel and raises cattle, with operations situated in British Columbia and Saskatchewan. The Carrier Group is currently accepting applications for the Accounts Payable Administrator position.
The Administrator will work in conjunction with the Accounts Payable Clerk to handle Accounts Payable enquiries for all divisions within the Carrier Group.
THE QUALIFICATIONS:
The Administrator will be a detail-oriented individual and a motivated self-starter. They will have a proactive attitude and the ability to work well with others at all levels. This individual will seek solutions and have a desire to ensure the completion of the entire Accounts Payable cycle. This individual will have:
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and
- Experience in accounts payable, and
- A minimum two years of practical accounting experience.
THE DUTIES:
- Streamlining Accounts Payable Operations to ensure expertly managed purchase orders, files and vendor maintenance for seamless transactions that save time and enhance productivity.
- Comply with Financial Processes to bring deep knowledge of federal and provincial sales tax, foreign exchange, and accounting standards to ensure complete adherence to financial policies and procedures.
- Performing Discrepancy Management to expertly reconcile vendor accounts and investigate discrepancies to quickly resolve issues and improve financial accuracy.
- Financial Optimization Support, working collaboratively with our financial team to identify opportunities for optimizing financial transactions and streamlining systems for greater efficiency and effectiveness and;
- Provide support and relief to our dynamic financial team.
