Job Description
Pittman Asphalt, part of the Terus Construction Ltd. group, is seeking a seasonal Administrative Assistant for its Prince George operations. Terus Construction Ltd. is a leader in the construction industry in British Columbia. This position reports to the Office Manager.
- Answering phones and greeting people who come through the office.
- Receipting or receiving materials and supplies ordered by PO and non-PO invoices.
- Record the delivery of materials to construction jobs, pit to pit transfers and FOB asphalt and gravel sales.
- Requisition materials and supplies
- Ensuring hired truck tickets, timecards and equipment pre-trip checklists are collected daily for processing
- Filing and sorting of truck tickets and time and reconciling with the differing work sites.
- Other general office duties
- Excellent computer skills with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent organization skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Post-secondary courses in office administration, accounting/finance preferred
- 2-3 years’ experience in office administration preferred
