Job Description
Receptionist for a busy medical dermatology practice.
Duties include: answering phones, messages and voicemails. Returning calls. Scheduling appointments and ensuring charts are up to date. Greeting patients, and ushering them to their exam rooms. Administrative tasks include reviewing mail, inventory management and maintenance. Preparing and creating documentation for patient charts, including questionnaires, consent forms, before and after pictures and scheduling follow up visits.
Collecting payment and payment processing. Assists with education and training of new staff. Social media knowledge is an asset.
Medical Secretary or Office assistant certificate/diploma or equivalent required.
Three to five years of experience in a clinic and or family practice office preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology required.
Evidence of problem solving and conflict resolution skills required.
Demonstrates excellent organizational and communication skills required.
Demonstrates effective listening and verbal skills required.
Professional attire required.
Demonstrates flexibility to accept changes to areas of responsibility as required
Demonstrates ability to maintain confidentially for all information pertaining to the work environment.
Status on CPR, FIT Testing and other regulatory occupational health and human resource certifications required at time of hire.
Current police check at hire (within 6 Months) required.
Must be adept in the use of Microsoft Office 2010 and PS Suites and Accuro EMR software
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
