Job Description
Position
This is a full-time position. It has been created to assist our Engineering and Manufacturing team members in the design, fabrication, testing and commissioning of automated production system.
Responsibilities
- Generate 3D CAD Models of mechanical parts and assemblies
- Generate CNC programs using CAM software for manufacturing purposes
- Machine and fabricate components
- Design wiring and electrical systems (efficient and organized layout)
- Program PLCs, HMIs, Vision Systems and other auxiliary systems
- Create production monitoring devices and processes
- Assemble, test, debug and commission new equipment
- Create documentation (standard operating, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures)
- Provide ongoing training and support
- Assist in plant automation upgrades and layout of new facilities and equipment
- Manage projects and deliverables
- Other duties as requested by Mechanical Engineering Manager
Qualifications
- BSc Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering
- Eligible to be registered as P.Eng with APEGA.
- Good understanding and working knowledge of the following:
- Materials Science

- High Level Programming
- Ladder Logic, FBD, SFC, ST and IS
- HMIs and Vision System

- Electricity / Electronics
- Wiring and Routing
- 2 years minimum experience
- Writing reports and documentation
- Strong computer skills in an MS Office environment
- Hands-on practical mechanical and electrical experience
- Experience operating CNC mills and lathes considered an asset
- Experience with injection molding considered an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
