So, what will your new role look like?
As a developer focused on backend within the Workleap Internal Developer Platform team, you will work on challenges in a Azure and .NET tech stack. You will build technological solutions, to set the centralized foundation for all software products developed at Workleap. You will contribute to grow a service catalog available to all Workleap developers, your customers, to provide capabilities for our products to complement each other’s, and to enable reusability, which will decrease development costs, shorten TTM, and lead to a better ROI.
- You will be accountable for implementing all the SDLC phases of the initiatives from the Tech platform roadmap the Technical Product Manager will maintain.
- You will contribute to very various initiatives depending of the most relevant services to add the Tech Platform. Short term, it is mostly backend and infrastructure, then initiatives could include frontend or security, as the team is growing.
- You will be in the day to day of the Internal Development Platform team, meaning participating in the different agile events, prioritizing work and set incremental objectives.

You will have an impact by adopting a product mindset and by playing the following way:
- By interacting with development teams to understand their needs.

- By aiming for a minimal platform: maintain balance between keeping the platform small and ensuring that the platform helps speed up and simplify software delivery for the teams building on the platform.
- By being accountable of the services your team offers.
- By relying on fast prototyping techniques and involving other team’s members for fast feedback on what works and what does not.
- By coordinating with similar practices and guidelines of SRE, architecture and security teams.
A typical week?
We aim to have the following balance:
- Researching, learning and developing (new and incremental value): 60%.
- Presenting and sharing knowledge with your colleagues (day-to-day delivery rituals): 20%.
- Helping and supporting teams to improve their development experience (individual & collective growth): 20%.

- Azure, Azure DevOps, GitHub;
- Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm;
- C#, .NET, React;
- MongoDB.
What does your future team look like?
You’ll be part of a new Internal Developer Platform team of 5 experienced full stack developers and a Technical Product Manager, that will grow up to 7 developers through 2023. They are highly skilled and autonomous. The team works with a lot of different other teams in the ecosystem and close to principal developers and architects.
What are the next challenges awaiting your team?
- Build our suite of relevant internal products that can be reused by development teams across all Workleap product portfolio such as:
- A cloud scaffolding product for building blocks such as APIs, Azure resources (Infra-as-code), background workers, databases, frontends, etc.
- A set of building block Nugget libraries.
- Distributed system buildings blocks for service-to-service authentication, inter-service communication, service mesh, API gateway, etc.
- Shape adoption of a modern emergent software development practice throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Proficient in coding (.NET, #C) and scripting (PowerShell)
- Proficient in coding (.NET, #C) and scripting (PowerShell);
- Proficient with cloud distributed systems technologies (Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm);
- Strong understanding of the DevOps culture (people, tools, and process);
- Competent to communicate effectively.
