Job Description

Mr. Puffs is a small family owned bakery in Hamilton, ON. We are looking for a Baker to help us in our bakery. The right candidate will be responsible for preparing baked goods, including frosting, cookies, cakes, pies, and brownies.

Responsibilities

• Work with other team members to prepare baked goods, including frosting, cookies, cakes, pies, and brownies.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform daily cleaning duties.
• Follow recipes and work within the production kitchen to ensure proper baking and packaging of products.
• Work in a team environment to ensure efficient production of finished goods.
• Handle all baking equipment and operate all kitchen equipment safely.
• Ensure that all baked goods are packaged properly and are stored correctly in the proper location.
• Ensure that all products are labeled properly.
• Ensure that all food is stored properly in the proper storage area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Baking Assistant or similar position in a commercial bakery setting (preferred but not required).
• Knowledge of different types of pastries and pastel art (preferred but not required).
• Experience with cookie making (preferred but not required).
• Team player with good communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Hamilton, ON L8H 2V4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Baking: 1 year (required)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (preferred)

Work Location: In person
