People & Culture team of Eddyfi Technologies is currently seeking a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator like you.
The Payroll & Benefits Coordinator is responsible for the correct and timely coordination of payroll and benefits in Canada and the US and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. We are looking for a hands-on, meticulous person with experience processing several payrolls under different legislative environments.
In this role, you will have to:
- Manages and administers several payrolls and benefits plans;
- Communicates professionally and regularly with vendors to ensure timely, accurate processing, and knowledge of local requirements;
- Coordinates benefits enrollment for new hires and during open enrollment periods;
- Answers payroll and benefits related inquiries from employees and managers;
- Provides Finance department with payroll register for processing and reconciliation;
- Maintains and updates employee data/records in our HR management software (Dayforce);
- Manages vendor relationships including payroll and benefits related billing, correcting discrepancies and ensuring timely payments;
- Processes and records payroll and related transactions in accordance with deadlines;
- Research and propose resolution of any data conflict that impact payroll processing;
- Communicates irregularities or issues immediately to People & Culture and Finance;
- Monitors time collection and conduct timesheet audits as needed to resolve payroll issues;
- Processes approved pay adjustments as needed;
- Collects and provides supporting documentation for internal and/or external audit preparation;
- Ensures leave balances are accurately recorded and reported;
- Keeps all benefit information up to date;
- Prepare year-end tax documentation;
- Regularly reviews payroll and benefits processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and reliability;
- Manages other payroll operations in the absence of other Payroll Coordinators.
The desired profile:
- Payroll specialist certification;
- At least 3 years of experience administering payroll under multiple jurisdictions;
- Experience with HRIS data management required (Dayforce preferred);
- Experience with benefits administration preferred;
- Bilingual (English/French), knowledge of other languages an asset;
- Excellent customer services and communication skills;
- Fine attention to detail, cultural sensitivity, and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
