Pacific Smoke International is Canada’s leading distributor of electronic vaporizers and manufacturer of award-winning vaping products. Our goal is to empower people nationwide to quit smoking by choosing a safer alternative to combustible cigarettes. We are a young, thriving company, located in Markham and we are seeking a culturally aligned and skilled Senior Manager, Brand Marketing to join our team.
The Senior Manager, Brand Marketing would be the leader of a team of brand managers/associates and will oversee the performance our up and coming, hottest and top-selling brands. This includes leadership of the end-to-end process of creating new brands from conception to go-to-market strategies, plans and execution, and each brand’s financial performance. The Senior Manager, Brand Marketing would work with all corporate product brands to organize and direct activities to achieve business development objectives.
He/she would enjoy empowerment to impact change, and would be inspired to contribute toward the greater vision of eliminating combustible cigarettes from the world. Strong business acumen, curiosity, people skills, savvy communications, and an analytical, solution-oriented mindset would lead to success in this role. Furthermore, the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing’s responsibilities/accountabilities include:
- Work closely with the Director, Products and Marketing and other department managers to develop and execute on brand strategies and plans to achieve the company’s objectives.
- Hire, train, develop and manage a team of brand managers/associates, each focused on various top-selling brands.
- Oversee the end-to-end brand development process from research, ideation, planning, development, branding, marketing and sales strategies.
- Work with marketing teams (i.e., marketing intelligence, product development, digital marketing, content creation and design) to create brands and products that are set-up for success and built to sustainably perform.
- Strategize and oversee product roadmaps, brand/product positioning, go-to-market launch strategies and conduct post-mortem analyses to measure effectiveness and to refine tactics.
- Manage and be accountable for brand financial performance and the brand marketing budget.
- Generate and analyze reports from various data sources such as regional/national sales, digital marketing analytics, and more to improve brand/product strategies and performance.
- Continuously assess the competitive landscape to identify trends, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
- Assess brand/product performance and effectiveness; strategically adding new products, evolve promotional strategies, and minimize slow moving SKUs.
- Define, measure, and report on major KPI’s relating to brand performance to senior management.
- Establish, define and enforce brand identity guidelines and standards, which govern the creation of content, design, marketing and customer facing communications
- Collaborate on digital marketing initiatives such as social media, websites and campaigns to improve traffic and increase MQLs.
- Spearhead brand awareness initiatives through both digital and traditional marketing channels.
- Collaborate with Marketing on merchandising and guide the creation of point-of-sale materials to increase brand awareness and exposure.
- Create engaging presentations and present new products and promotions to cross-functional departments and key stakeholders.
- Be the main contact point and informed decision-maker for brand related topics through collaborations with sales, product development, supply chain, demand planning, project management, order desk and more.
- Demonstrate astute application of the 4P’s (product, positioning, pricing and promotion).
- Manage the brand planning calendar; coordinate cross-functional activities and plan processes, manage timelines, and ensure timely completion of all deliverables.
- Be a brand ambassador at tradeshows, events, market visits and conferences as required.
- Other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Your experience and resume will show us:
- Minimum of 5 years of total marketing/selling experience, with at least 2 years in some form of management level
- End-to-end sales process knowhow (develop, plan, implement and manage) from demand generation to repeat business
- Overall brand strategy, planning, development and execution
- Demonstrated experience utilizing the marketing mix (4 p’s)
- Hired and developed employees in marketing, sales and/or product teams
- Business and data analysis experience
- B2B and B2C marketing experience
- Vape industry marketing and sales knowledge
- Comfortable with ambiguity and balancing multiple priorities
- Proficient at processing complex data into simple views that summarize key insights
- Strong presentation development and presentation skills
- A high level of attention to detail

Work Remotely:
- Our office is located in Markham, ON. Our team is currently working from home on a full-time basis. This is a temporary arrangement due to Covid-19 and will transition back to the office (hybrid structure) in the future.
