Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Product and Digital Business, this position is responsible for the execution of digital and omnichannel initiatives that will transform Toronto Pearson into a fully integrated experience across both physical and digital touchpoints. It will play a pivotal role in redefining how we connect with and serve our customers and support development of digital business strategies through data analytics, marketing and business experimentation and compelling content creation to drive non-aeronautical revenue (NAR) and improve customer experience.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support the development and implementation of critical initiatives to deliver outstanding business experiences that bridge the digital and physical worlds, engaging customers across multiple channels to drive NAR and improve customer experience
- Identify and evaluate new digital business, e-commerce and digital advertising opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and our commercial partners to drive digital innovation and optimize business performance and support ongoing roadmap prioritization across key partners
- Leverage experience in e-commerce and implement growth strategies to drive adoption
- Maintain a pulse on industry trends and advancements. Continuously researching new technologies and trends in the digital product space and implementing them as appropriate
- Socialize and educate the broader business to take a user and customer-centric approach in designing and implementing digital solutions
- Assist in the generation of business cases, define key success criteria, and secure alignment of key partners across the organization to support critical opportunities
- Coordinate assigned projects across internal (IT, Operations, Digitalization, Passenger Experience etc.) and external teams and provide administrative support including expenditure tracking
- Support creation of Statements of Work (SOW) for the various GTAA procurement processes – including (but not limited to) Requests for Service (RFS), Requests for Quotation (RFQ) from various Vendors of Record, and Expressions of Interest (EOI) or Requests for Proposal (RFP) from the open market via Merx
- Create and implement high-quality, creative and engaging content for targeted customer segments across all digital and social channels to elevate our shopping/dining positioning and enhance experiences
- Take point on a new customer marketing strategy that educates and influences upsell opportunities while creating brand advocates and a customer data strategy that advises a broader content development and marketing effort
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, partners and/or external agencies to develop and align strategies, 360 marketing campaigns and promotional calendar to maximize reach and sales growth
- Champion digital marketing experiments from end to end including design, execution, reiteration and analysis to optimize conversion and performance
- Recommend effective digital marketing strategies that improve conversion, increase engagement, and reduce bounce rate
- Use data analytics and customer insights to optimize lifecycle, adoption and integration initiatives and touchpoints that support customer loyalty and retention; leading to improved customer sentiment to support overall customer growth
- Monitor and conduct detailed analysis of sales, performance of experiments and marketing campaigns effectiveness to derive concrete insights for digital business growth
- Support and manage ad hoc key projects and/or business initiatives
This is a unionized position with an hourly wage of $38.76, based on a 37.5 hour work week. The successful candidate must be available to commence the duties of the position once a selection decision has been made. A practical test will be administered as a part of the competitive process.
Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary Degree acquired in a Business, Marketing, Project Management, Information Systems, or other related domains
- 3 to 5 years of retail, digital and omnichannel experience with background in E-commerce/marketplace, social selling, digital advertising sales and monetization
- Experience in digital marketing, customer data analytics and insights and user experience design
- Strong interest in digital business transformation and trends
- Background in travel retail, digital product development or technology field is a plus
- Project management experience – the ability to prioritize multiple work streams, collaborators, and partners
- Demonstrated experience working in a customer-centric environment
- Able to acquire and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Solid understanding of digital marketing platforms and tools, marketing strategies and tactics
- Working knowledge of Campaign Measurement, Predictive Modelling, Segmentation, Hypothesis Testing, Cross Sell and Up Sell Analytics, Forecasting, A/B Testing, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills to collaborate effectively across multiple partners
- Problem-solving skills, creativity and resourcefulness in navigating through ambiguity and roadblocks to achieve business objectives.
- Business Skills in Customer Journey Design, Analytics, and CRM / Loyalty marketing will be an advantage
- Knowledge of eCommerce software, and custom enhancements
- Agile, ability to work independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced, high-growth multifaceted environment
- Outstanding attention to detail with strong analytical, project management and critical thinking skills
The GTAA is a federally regulated private sector. The Government of Canada has suspended mandatory vaccination requirement for federally regulated transportation sector workers. The GTAA continues to monitor government and health developments relating to COVID -19 and may re-introduce the Vaccination and proof of Vaccination requirements in the Policy at any time.
