Business Development Representative
REDspace is looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team! This is a hybrid role, based out of our office in Bedford, NS. As a custom software development company, we thrive on building unique and flexible platforms for global enterprises. Our Business Development Representative will play a critical role in driving the growth and success of our company. As a BDR, you will be responsible for building a strong sales pipeline, generating leads, and prospecting new clients. You'll also assist in booking sales meetings and presentations, preparing estimates and proposals, and engaging in follow-up activities throughout the sales cycle. You will play a crucial role in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth.

About the Role.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities by prospecting and qualifying potential clients. This would include cold calling.
- Manage and prioritize a pipeline of prospects to achieve sales targets
- Conduct thorough market research to identify target industries and key decision-makers.
- Effectively communicate the value of REDspace's software solutions to prospects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients through effective communication and follow-up strategies.
- Stay up to date and informed about client needs, and the latest trends in the IT industry.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop customized sales pitches and presentations.
- Oversee conference and event participation as a sales and marketing tool, including preparation and potential attendance. (May involve travel.)
- Organize in-market visits to key customer cities, lining up sales calls and other activities to foster customer relationships and drive business growth.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting of sales activities and pipeline management.
Skills/Experience.
- Post-secondary education in or business administration, marketing, or related. A combination of experience and education may be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience in business development, sales, or lead generation within the software or technology industry
- Passionate about upcoming technology, emerging trends, and the IT sector as a whole.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Strong customer service skills, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for clients throughout the sales process.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills to document and coordinate sales activities efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with directors and executives.
- Experience developing and implementing sales lead tracking systems using spreadsheets or other suitable software solutions.
- Proactive attitude with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for industry events and client meetings, as required.
Bonus Points.
- Familiarity with grant application processes and ability to assist in the preparation and submission of grant applications.
