Position Summary:
We are a pharmacy located in northwest Regina. We are a traditional retail pharmacy but we also have a specialty focus providing care to a number of care homes and larger centres. CareRx Pharmacy Regina is seeking Pharmacist to augment our team. Under the general direction of the Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring that all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and safely while providing pharmaceutical patient care ensuring the highest level of therapeutic appropriateness for patients.
Your Day To Day:
- Collaborate with all members of the pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely, timely and completely
- Complete daily tasks in accordance with established work place policies and procedures
- Consult with members of the pharmacy management team when there are unresolved issues surrounding day to day work functions
- Provide exceptional customer care to CareRx Pharmacy patients
- Communicate with all members of the resident care team while maintaining professionalism by following corporate policies to ensure the highest standard of customer care and quality of pharmacy service at all times
- Maintain accurate, organized and complete resident health records ensuring appropriate documentation and continuity of care at all times
- Conduct medication regimen/profile reviews with associated documentation of recommendations
- Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards and regulations which govern the practice of pharmacy at all times
- Follow all corporate regulations, policies and procedures
- Assist in maintaining and monitoring of pharmacy inventory
- Participate in the training and support for newly hired and existing pharmacy team members when required
- Participate in ongoing continuing education, remaining current in pharmaceutical, medical and professional licensing information in addition to corporate updates, policies, and standards
- Prepare and compound medications when required
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Emergency prescription deliveries to individual customers or to any of the care homes or other centres that we service
- Provide on-call service on a rotational basis on weekdays, evenings, weekends and stat. holidays
What You Bring To The Team
- Insured and licensed in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals
- Advanced Method Certification required for administering injections
- Previous retail pharmacy experience
- Proven ability to foster strong partnerships with other members of the health care team
- Effective organization, planning, and time management skills
- Demonstrated high level of fluency in both written and spoken English
- Knowledge of Kroll Windows application preferred
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact in a professional and mature manner
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Self-directed, dependable and responsible in the execution of job duties
- Motivated to achieve results that reflect a high standard of quality
