You will provide technical leadership in support of initiatives in cloud computing and automation, with a focus on the design of systems and services that run on cloud platforms. You will report to the I&O Infrastructure Senior manager, specifically the Cloud Operations organization but would be embedded into the Cloud-DevOps team to provide Azure Cloud leadership and best practices.What You’ll Be DoingWork with the Cloud Architect within the implementation of Cloud specific designs and components to support Teranet’s Digital transformationProvide guidance and assistance with the Cloud Security activities and implementation of core Cloud products and patterns within the Cloud infrastructureLead the agile sprint planning and execution with the I&O Cloud team as required.Provide backup of the Container technology Agile sprint planning and executionDesign and implement Infrastructure as Code for all aspects of the Cloud componentsNetwork, Compute, Storage, backup, legacy infrastructure components • PaaS services (PostgreSQL & Azure Red Hat Offering [ARO])Participate and Plan Proof of concepts for the Infra and App team to validate new Cloud technologiesAdministration and cross workstream support, Ie: Support of Database Services, ITSM (Service Now) integration, and Infrastructure architectsAbout YouBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline3+ years of experience migrating significant workloads from On-Premise Data centres to the cloud.Experience in cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, networking, storage, security, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability); this includes the ability to teach and mentor members of the Teranet I&O team.In-depth experience and knowledge of DevOps tool chains and processes with regards to the building of Cloud infrastructure (IaC)Good understanding of information security technology and best-practicesAbility to articulate and understand a financial business caseStrong communicator both written and verbalWhy TeranetWe may be a global innovator in electronic services and solutions who operate one of the most advanced and secure registration systems in the world, but we’re so much more than that!Our Extraordinary People.Together, we are passionate, driven, resourceful, and authentic.
