At the Victoria Hospital Foundation, our mission is to inspire donations to enhance healthcare for the people of northern and central Saskatchewan. We are embarking on a transformative campaign to redevelop and expand the Victoria Hospital, serving as a catalyst for improving healthcare services across the region. As we expand our mission to address the needs of more communities, we are looking for a dynamic Marketing & Communications Manager to lead the positioning and launch of our new brand identity.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work remotely from anywhere in Canada and contribute to our mission of making a lasting impact on the lives and well-being of individuals and families. Reporting to the CEO, you will develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that promote our expanded mission and engage the community in supporting the redevelopment of the Victoria Hospital. Your strategic thinking, creativity, and passion for community engagement will be key as we position ourselves as the healthcare foundation for the entire region.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to promote the transformative campaign for the redevelopment of the Victoria Hospital and drive community engagement.
- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing, social media, email marketing, content marketing, and traditional advertising, to generate awareness and support for the fundraising campaign.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project updates, success stories, and impact data to develop compelling communication materials and fundraising appeals.
- Create engaging content for marketing collateral, website, social media platforms, press releases, donor newsletters, and other communication channels to inspire donations and keep the community informed about the progress of the campaign.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, local businesses, potential donors, and philanthropic organizations, to maximize support for the redevelopment of the Victoria Hospital.
- Lead media relations and communications programs, such as press conferences and media releases.
- Support community events, donor recognition programs, and fundraising initiatives to engage the community and generate contributions.
- Oversee the launch and positioning of the new brand, ensuring consistency and alignment across all communication materials and channels.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing and communication campaigns, using data and analytics to measure impact and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with fundraising best practices, industry trends, and innovative approaches to inspire and motivate donors.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align marketing and communication strategies with fundraising goals and ensure consistent messaging.
- Support the development of grant proposals, sponsorship packages, and other fundraising materials as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related roles. Previous experience working with non-profit organizations is an asset.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for diverse audiences.
- Experience in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation.
- Proficiency in using marketing software and tools, such as social media management platforms, email marketing software, and analytics tools.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Passion for community engagement, fundraising, and making a positive impact.
- Knowledge of fundraising best practices and donor stewardship strategies is a plus.

Salary: $45,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
