For more information, visit www.josephbranthospital.ca.POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Manager of Employee Health, Safety and Well-Being, the Attendance and Abilities Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation, administration and maintenance of the JBH Attendance Support Program (ASP). The Coordinator will act as the primary internal resource and subject matter expert for the Attendance Support Program while supporting and collaborating with key internal stakeholders including employees, leadership, union representatives.RESPONSIBILITIES:The Attendance and Abilities Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a high degree of accuracy and detailed record-keeping while compiling, analyzing and interpreting absenteeism data and disability management metrics to support JBH with implementing and maintaining an effective strategy to reduce absenteeism.Administers the JBH Attendance Support Program in accordance with the program's framework and guidelines.Provide support and guidance where necessary to employees to assist with improving their attendance.Advise, support and provide education to internal stakeholders on the fundamentals of the Attendance Support Program.Ongoing monitoring of absence related data including bi-weekly data validation.Act as the primary resource for the coordination of key ASP threshold-based activities, including but not limited to: ensuring data reviews and validations are completed for each review period, ensuring that ASP letters are disseminated, ensuring that ASP meetings are convened as needed and ensuring that supports including EFAP are consistently offered.Analysis of ongoing patterns of absenteeism and preparation of associated reports for various stakeholder groups, to inform improvement opportunities.Provide support to and work in collaboration with the Abilities Claims Specialists for the early identification of workplace trends.Liaise with internal stakeholders including payroll, scheduling and Labor Relations to ensure consistency of practice.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or, Business Administration, or related health care field.Certificate in Disability Management is preferred.Minimum of 3 years' experience in a human resources generalist or abilities claims management role, including experience working with HR data/reporting/metrics and/or attendance data is preferred.Strong knowledge and advanced skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), is required. Experience with Parklane/Human Resources Information Systems (ADP) is an asset.Experience and technical knowledge/exposure to HR best practices in attendance and disability management and employee/labour relations. Individuals working toward disability management certification e.g. NIDMAR, CDMP is considered an assetDemonstrated working knowledge of employment related legislation and current employment practices including: OHSA, WSIA, and OHRC.Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective presentation skills, proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills, along with a strong work ethic.Demonstrated ability in analyzing data and providing guidance and support in regards to attendance and ability management.Experience working in a diverse, unionized environment and/or a healthcare environment, is considered an asset.Strong customer service focus, with an ability to exercise tact and diplomacy.Superior organizational and time-management skills with the ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities and requests from various stakeholdersTo be considered for this exciting opportunity please visit the JBH Careers page to apply to posting #204226.
