About This Role
We are looking for a Senior SQL Database Developer & Design Lead for Database development primarily with ability to develop in TSQL, SSIS and SSRS technologies of the MS SQL Server framework. You should be a team player and excellent communicator.
Job Responsibilities:- Responsible for requirements analysis, design and development of database components and applications/services across multiple client server or web based platforms.
- Work closely with Architecture, Business Analysts, QA, and other technology teams on application design and ensure system requirements are implemented and delivered as per enterprise standards.
- Work with junior developers in team, assign them work for development, establish coding standards, perform code reviews. Guide junior developers, help them learn and develop.
- Responsible for T-SQL development like Tables, Indexes, Functions, Views, Stored Procedures, Jobs.
- Responsible for SSIS development of ETL working with files, SSIS transformations, error handling events, config files, For each container etc.
- Responsible for SSRS development of Reports with working knowledge on Shared Datasets, Grouping, Caching datasets etc.
Key accountabilities:- Participate in analysis and system design specification sessions. Documentation of design options, and solution according to System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology. Ensure that solutions adhere to development best practices and architectural principles.
- Apply analytical skills to resolve problems and deliver viable solutions. Anticipate obstacles and execute proactive approaches to issues. Active participation in issue resolution.
- Provide development estimates to Project Manager for development effort as well as weekly status reporting.
- Testing and Packaging DB components for deployment to higher environment, support deployments to higher environments and post deployment support, including production support.
Job Requirements

Must Have:- Minimum 5 years' experience working with Databases development in Microsoft .SQL Server environment
- SQL Server – TSQL Programming, SSIS, SSRS development experience.
- Experience with database development with large volumes of data and complex SQL Queries development.
- Experience with SSIS development for ETL, Data Integration and Data Transfer with variety of data sources.
- Working knowledge of triaging SQL code using SQL Profiler, XEvent.
- Experience with concurrent development source control (Git)
Nice to have:- Working knowledge of triaging SQL performance analyzing index fragmentation, SQL Execution plans, procedure statistics via SQL DMVs.
- Knowledge of 3rd party SQL tools like RedGate SQL Compare, SQL Data Compare etc.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies
