Key Responsibilities and Expectations:
The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for leading Human Resources initiatives within a designated territory and supporting all aspects of human resources management, including labor planning and employee retention, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, and training and development. The HR Director will work closely with company leadership and the executive team to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the IPS's goals and objectives. This position will oversee the Canadian region and reports to the CHRO, SVP of CIPS.
- Partner with managers to develop and execute both long-term and short-term people strategies that directly support and enable business objectives.
- Manage employee relations issues, including resolving conflicts and addressing complaints.
- Develop and implement performance management programs that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
- Partner with managers to develop and embed an organizational culture that creates both an unmatched employee and customer experience.
- Leverage change acceleration techniques to assist in driving broad change
- Partner with leaders and employees within the region to create a positive and serving work environment
- Provide expert Human Resources, benefits, payroll employment law consultation to ensure compliance with all government and legal requirements
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or related discipline
- 5+ years of Senior HR Leadership experience
- 1+ years experience managing human resources functions in Canada
- Bilingual in French preferred
- Up to 60% international travel (Canada)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and support multiple sites
- High sense of urgency and ability to execute
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite tools
