What is the opportunity?

This is a senior level member of the Client Acquisition & Services Operations team accountable for the operational leadership and management of RBCI’s Life, Health and the Guarantee Standard Insurance (GSI) operations. The incumbent must have the proven ability to lead and influence and have very strong knowledge of Life and Health Insurance and demonstrated experience in driving change in key end to end processes as well as a strategic mindset. The incumbent will influence the strategic direction of the operation and the operations team and contribute to the development and achievement of the strategic objectives for the Life and Health business while greatly influencing and enhancing the brand reputation of the RBC Life Insurance Company.

What will you do?

• Lead the New Business Operations teams that support Life, health and GSI new business
• Champion a philosophy of continuous improvement in operations and service delivery
• Support the alignment of operational activities to support solid business performance, a consistent and superior client experience, employee engagement, teamwork, innovation and resourcefulness
• Promote a culture of excellence, one that balances operations and risk and puts the client at the centre of everything we do
• This role will identify, socialize, champion opportunities to ensure Insurance drives forward and capitalizes on transformation and operational excellence
• Lead operational reporting, modelling and budgeting

What will you need to succeed?

• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in an operations environment, preferably insurance
• Deep knowledge of Life and Health insurance industry
• Experience managing large teams in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to contribute strategically
• Demonstrated ability to drive and execute organizational change
• Demonstrated ability to build trust with internal and external partners including MGAs, brokers, advisors and vendors
