Role:
The Director of Operations Performance will design and deliver tools for both Warehouse and Transportation to enhance productivity and engagement at our operating sites and will lead our continuous process improvement efforts.
Role Responsibilities:
Designing and developing new performance tools- Delivering performance tools through the field operations team
- Monitoring compliance and results to agreed upon best practices
- Engaging with field operations leadership to facilitate innovation
- Leading Operations key initiatives project management and governance
- Facilitates Training through the Supply Chain organization
- Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
- Understands both the economic and cultural value that a safe organization with minimal environmental impact brings to an organization.
- Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by providing necessary resources and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirements.
- Enable, champion and embrace an inclusive culture
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):
10-12 years in Distribution and/or Warehouse operations both in corporate roles and with direct P&L responsibility. Must have worked in an supervisory or management role at some point during career- Experience working in Union and Non-Union environments
- Consulting experience early in career, preferred
- BS in Industrial Engineering or similar field required
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required
- MBA or related higher-level degree, preferred
- Strong skills with modern Labor Management and Labor Scheduling systems
- Strong WMS and BI experience
- MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office
- Comfortable in Virtual and Physical settings. Strong written and verbal communication skills across diverse levels (warehouse worker to ELT)
- English primary. French preferred as a second language
- Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle is required. Some travel may be required (up to 10%)
