Responsibilities:
Operate a tractor trailer in city traffic
Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver’s hours, occupational health and safety, and applicable traffic laws
Perform pre-trip vehicle inspection to ensure mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order
Maintain daily logs, inspection logs and other necessary paperwork
Fill reports such as Driver logbook, inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, accident or incident reports
Greet our customers in a positive and professional manner
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
A valid Class A CDL (manual transmission) license
Minimum 3 years behind the wheel experience
A clean Motor Vehicle Report
Flexible to start between the hours of 4am and 7am
Must have the physical capabilities required to drive a truck for long period
Physically capable to open and close curtains on the trailer, strap and secure the load
