THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Corporate Events Manager is responsible for providing event management and support services in order to ensure effective and efficient operations in the Corporate Events Department.
The Corporate Events Manager will demonstrate competence in the following areas:

- Teamwork: Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions to enhance organizational effectiveness; ability to undertake self-directed tasks when necessary.
YOU ARE GREAT AT:
- Maintaining event related email accounts. Answer customers, partners and staff questions for events or forward to the correct person to respond.
- Assist with the online registration system (CVENT) and assist with creation of marketing links, amending registrations and running reports.
- Uploading of virtual event assets to online portals, including session information, images, descriptions, etc.
- Assist with audience acquisition campaigns for OpenText World and other events as required.
- Assist with event planning activities as required
- Liaise with creative team on creative requirements, including submitting creative requests via Basecamp
- Administrative duties
o Assisting with PowerPoint presentations, updating documents (FAQs, contact list, internal intranet etc.), and online file maintenance
o Preparation of meeting minutes for various committee meetings
o Other duties as assigned
- Shipment packing, commercial invoice documents, tracking and working closely with shipping brokerage contacts to ensure timely delivery
- Provide administrative support to Senior Events Team Managers and Events staff
- Support the OpenText Navigator store
- Manage and organize the Events supply room
- Track inventory of event swag items
- Reconcile travel costs against event budgets
WHAT IT TAKES:
- Microsoft Office proficiency – Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
- CVENT registration system experience an asset
- Experience with Basecamp
- HTML knowledge an asset
- Time management
- Problem Solving
- Proactive with the ability to work on ow
