Job Summary:
The Sales Services Manager (similar to Conference Service Manager) will plan and service groups and weddings for all lines ofbusiness to create an Experience of a Lifetime for our group guests.
Job Specifications:
- Outlet: Whistler Blackcomb
- Expected Pay Range: $41,600 - $58,645.60
- Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time / Year Round
- Skill Level: Advanced
Job Responsibilities:
- Continually strive to exceed guest expectations and create memories for guests and staff as the best mountain experienceagain and again.
- Solicit, negotiate and secure new accounts/leads, as well as maintain current client relationships.
- Support and contribute to the goals of the team and recommend revenue producing activities and strategies forimplementation.
- Upsell all Whistler Blackcomb lines of business & products
- Develop and nurture strong partnerships with key contacts including hotel sales and conference service teams, DMC’s andevent planners.
- Develop and nurture strong partnerships with internal departments to ensure flawless delivery of products and services, allfunctions and events.
- Participate in FAMS, Sites, Entertainment, Tradeshows and Industry events where necessary.
- Ensure all leads and bookings are entered correctly in Delphi FDC as well as create applicable Banquet Event Orders.
- Event planning to include floorplans, food & beverage recommendations, timelines, activity details, among other WhistlerBlackcomb product recommendation and fulfillment.
- Hold pre-cons with incoming clients, meet & greet of groups, be on site for events and site inspections with potential clients.
- Billing of all lines of business serviced within required timeframes.
- Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule
Job Qualifications:
- College Degree
- 2 years of Conference Services or Event Planning experience
- Delphi or Salesforce Experience, Social Tables, BEO
- Flexible Schedule required.
- Required to complete a satisfactory criminal record check.
Preferred:
- Demonstrate our core values around Serve Other, Do Right, Drive Value, Do Good, Be Safe and Have Fun.
- Strong computer experience with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Delphi FDC is an asset.
- Highly organized with an emphasis on attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong file management skills (will be coordinating a variety of group files at any given time.)
- Strong knowledge of Whistler Blackcomb products & services.
- Proven track record of sales skills and success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Previous experience in event organizing and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal & team play skills. Ability to work in a challenging and fast paced environment.
- Previous experience in Food and Beverage industry an asset.
- Previous experience in Sales and/or Hotels an asset.
- Intermediate skiing/riding ability.
