Our Company
Innovation Saskatchewan supports Saskatchewan’s research community and technology sector to create economic growth and diversity. As the central agency for the Government of Saskatchewan, Innovation Saskatchewan is responsible for implementing the province's innovation priorities and growing the technology sector. Innovation Saskatchewan develops policies and programs and conducts activities that assist in the implementation of research & development, science, and technology for the province. This includes development and operation of Saskatchewan’s research and technology parks in Saskatoon and Regina.
Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst for a two-year term to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Executive Director, Finance & Special Projects this position will be responsible for the following:
· Reviewing and analyzing monthly, quarterly and annual financial information
· Providing clear and concise financial analysis and information to internal and external decision makers and stakeholders to drive informed decision-making at a strategic level
· Liaising with multiple departments to assist in preparing financial forecasts and reports
· Leading planning and developing of processes and controls for an externally managed fund
· Creating, reviewing and implementing efficient processes and procedures that ensure accurate gathering of financial information
What We Want from You
· Knowledge of and ability to apply general accepted accounting principles and procedures
· Ability to be a collaborative team player with good interpersonal skills who can also function independently with a high level of initiative
· Demonstrated ability to define problems, analyze, evaluate and interpret data and document findings and make effective recommendations
· Ability to effectively manage multiple demands, resolve conflicts and meet deadlines in an environment of constant change
· Good written and oral communication skills
· Ability to develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and accounting software programs
· Post-secondary degree in commerce or business administration
· 2 years of experience in finance or accounting is preferred. A combination of experience and education will be considered

Salary: $58,039.00-$75,451.00 per year
