Reports to: New Vehicle Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all customers and potential customers of the dealership are handled in a positive manner and in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure maximum customer satisfaction (for example, as measured by CXI) through established processes and ongoing training.
- Ensure all sales related customer complaints are resolved satisfactorily promptly, with the root cause determined and proper corrective action plans implemented and review with General Manager.
- Review monthly customer satisfaction reports and discuss with sales staff
- Plan sales and growth targets, profit levels, staffing, advertising, expenses and inventory levels that support business growth and development.
- Define and review objectives with New Vehicle Department Manager.
- Assist in the establishment of monthly new vehicle sales and stock objectives and coordinate sales staff activities to achieve these objectives as a minimum.
- Hold daily APB sales staff meetings to review any areas of concern in relation to sales cycle.
- Hold daily APB Managers meetings and follow documented agenda to maximize be-back ratios in the sales department and review previous day sold deals to ensure approvals are met. Also review individual sales representative sales cycle to identify any opportunities.
- Review offers and desk deals with sales representative as per documented APB guidelines. Ensure management turnovers are being performed (with a goal of 50%).
- Ensure that the approved customer handling procedures and traffic control procedures are adhered to.
- Appraise used vehicles as required.
- Ensure all new car files are commissioned and forwarded to the accounting department on a daily basis.
- Ensure that all sold customers are turned over to the business office and that sales representatives are using the next available Business Manager.
- Ensure sales team is in compliance with MVDA regulations.
- Other duties as required
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience working in automotive sales
- Valid OMVIC license
- Proficient with the following computer environments: Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer and Outlook.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written English) skills.
- Ability to build a customer focused team environment.
- Ability to build long-lasting and trusting customer relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines.
- Detail oriented and excellent organization and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of pertinent data.
