Position Summary
Under the direction of the F&B Supervisor(s), F&B Outlet Manager(s) the Host will seat guests and assist servers as necessary while providing exceptional guest service. The Host also assists in side duties, bussing and setting tables while working in a team environment. Must be collaborative and display exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Above all else, must embrace and be aligned with Casino Nova Scotia’s culture and philosophy of providing outstanding entertainment experiences.
Job Duties
- Assists in side preparation and set-up duties.
- Busses and sets tables.
- Responsible for light cleaning duties.
- Other assigned duties as required including cash.
- Finds ways to play; you are serious about work, without being serious in your demeanor.
- Chooses to make everyday a great day.
- Stays focused in order to be there.
- Delivers an exceptional entertainment experience to internal and external guests to ensure you make their day.
Minimum Qualifications
- Embraces the Casino Nova Scotia culture and philosophy and has a playful, infectious and "all about the guest" attitude!
- One year of food and beverage serving experience in either a bar or restaurant setting is an asset
- § Cash handling experience
- § Strong communication skills
- Strong sales and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
- Energetic and a team player
- WHMIS training an asset
- Works quickly and efficiently under pressure in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Communicates well with fellow team members
- Must be able to commit to offering casino guests the highest level of guest service
- Works well independently as well as in a team environment
- Must be friendly, detailed oriented, fun and outgoing!
