We are looking for a temporary Human Resources Assistant to join the Arrow HR Team! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the human resources field and contribute to the day-to-day operation of our HR department in Kamloops, BC.

Responsibilities:The temporary HR Assistant will support various HR functions and play a vital role in assisting with day-to-day HR operations such as recruitment, retention, and other HR related initiatives as directed.
- Assist with the recruitment process (i.e., screening resumes, prescreening calls, and conducting reference checks).
- Assist with the coordination and implementation of retention programs.
- Organizing and updating all areas of the applicant tracking system.
- Provide administrative support for HR projects, such as employee engagement initiatives, and the learning management system.
- communicate and advise various Arrow divisions on processes and protocols with recruitment campaigns.
- Assist with research and HR Metrics (ie. salary and wage benchmarking, best practices, etc.).
- Draft general forms, letters, reports, and memos as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Support the HR Team with all transactional HR functions and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
You Possess:- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in an HR role or internship is a plus.
- General understanding of HR practices.
- Previous administrative experience in an office setting is an asset.
- Experience using social media/online tools (i.e., Facebook, LinkedIn, and Indeed) is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ability to quickly learn new computer applications (i.e., Arrow custom applications, learning management system, applicant tracking system).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
