HR Advisor (Ottawa, ON) - 12 Month Full-Time Term
Multiview is seeking a HR Advisor to join our team based in the Ottawa office. This role will help maintain Multiview as an employer of choice by providing generalist support to all employees in Canada and the US. This is a 12-month full-time term position with the possibility of becoming permanent.

In this role, HR Advisor responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting general staff queries and requirements as a member of the HR team
- Recruitment of candidates in various technology companies across North America
- Facilitating pre-employment and onboarding activities to ensure a great start to their Multiview employment experience.
- Supporting HR and corporate initiatives related to employee retention, including employee development and training initiatives.
- Employee benefits administration

The successful candidate will have experience being responsible for different HR tasks and projects to meet the demands of a fast-paced growing company while exercising discretion, maintaining confidentiality, a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
The ideal candidate for this role will have direct working experience with or be knowledgeable about all aspects of the human resources function.
As Multiview continues to grow, the HR team is evolving. This is a 12-month full-time role with the potential for a permanent appointment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As the lead in the HR team for attracting new talent to the company, you will support our headcount growth through the sourcing, recruitment, and onboarding of new talent.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead the full cycle of recruitment from analyzing workforce needs with hiring managers, identifying, screening and short-listing talent.
- Work with hiring managers locally and remotely on appointments and completion of required employment contracts.
- Lead the new hire onboarding process by preparing new hire packages, coordinating orientation with all internal teams and ensure all administrative tasks associated with onboarding are completed on time and well documented.
- Maintain all HR activities in HRIS (BambooHR) and provide accurate reporting of metrics dashboards to inform HR decision-making.
- Ensure legal compliance by ensuring the proper documentation of employee files and monitoring and implementing applicable human resource legislative requirements within Canada and US.
As a member of the HR team, you will also work on broader HR activities.
- Be an internal and external brand ambassador for Multiview and promote our employee value proposition.
- Administer our employee benefits and support employee utilization.
- Respond to all general staff HR-related questions in a timely manner. Conduct research where necessary to accurately respond to queries and escalate as required.
- Participate in the design, development and delivery of HR programs and processes such as orientation, onboarding, employee engagement (including our semi-annual ENPS), training, and development reviews.
- Participate in the ongoing refinement of our HR policies and changes that improve the employee experience at Multiview.

Work Environment:
- Extensive collaboration with HR team members and other departments
- Based out of Ottawa, ON offices. While this employee can work remotely, the ability to be in the Ottawa office as required is necessary.

- Discretion – Understands the implications of working with confidential information as a member of the HR team and takes appropriate precautions and exercises appropriate discretion with the confidential information that is handled.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Human Resources, a related field OR equivalent experience
- Experience level: 2-5 years in a professional environment in a general or multifaceted HR role
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written), including presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Canadian Employment Standards Act, Human Rights and Workplace Safety regulations. Knowledge of US Employment Standards is an advantage.
- Ability to evolve existing operating processes and procedures based on knowledge and experience.
- Ability to work in an agile, dynamic, rapid-changing environment by prioritizing situations which require a sense of urgency.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Desire to accept assignment of increasingly complex tasks, and a willingness to expand your knowledge.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects, and deliverables through effective prioritization and escalation approaches.
- Willingness to be coached, mentored, and driven to reach your fullest potential.
