Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our organization. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, policy implementation, and compliance. Your expertise in HR policies, procedures, and best practices will be instrumental in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring the success of our employees.
Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, providing guidance, support, and resolution of employee-related issues.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints or grievances, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring fair and objective outcomes.
- Promote positive employee relations by fostering a culture of open communication, respect, and teamwork.
Performance Management:
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance management programs, including performance reviews, goal setting, and performance improvement plans.
- Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on performance management processes and tools.
- Support managers in addressing performance concerns and developing appropriate action plans.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably as an HR Generalist.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment laws.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively interact with employees at all levels.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Familiarity with performance management systems and training program development.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Location:
This position will be a hybrid role of working on site at our Mississauga Campus Support Centre and from your home office.
