We are pleased to offer the full-time permanent position of Human Resources Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
HR Management:
- Create policies and procedures for the different groups of companies, supporting HR manager with the comply and enforce of it.
- Creating, implementing, and maintaining HR and recruitment metrics, ensuring continuous improvement and evolution of these statistics over time.
- Supporting manager's decisions, guaranteeing the alignment of the code of conduct, country’s law, and internal regulations by guiding them through the best practices.
- Responsible for identifying opportunities to improve the recruitment and HR departments, and leading the development, implementation, and completion of special projects with the support of the proper team.
- Effectively manage, maintain, and oversee the screening process for utilizing third-party HR companies in the organization.
- Responsible for leading strategic projects aimed at identifying cost-saving opportunities through the optimization of HR processes. This will involve leveraging your expertise in HR to develop and implement strategies that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline workflows. You will work closely with other members of the management team to identify areas of improvement and develop action plans to achieve cost savings while maintaining high-quality HR services.
- Responsible for keeping up-to-date with emerging strategies in the field of HR and ensuring that your organization is well-positioned to adapt to changing industry trends. This will involve staying current with the latest technologies, practices, and methodologies in HR, and identifying opportunities to incorporate these into the organization's overall HR strategy. Helping the organization with attract, retain, and develop top talent.
Recruitment:
- Create, implement, and maintain efficient and effective recruitment processes.
- Supervise and support the recruitment team with strategies, legality, and process improvement to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Execute and develop recruitment meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration between HR and other departments.
Onboarding/offboarding:
- Supervise and support onboarding process with new hires to ensure a smooth transition for new employees and improve employee retention.
- Review and approve employment contracts for new hires to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Responsible for developing, executing, and managing the offboarding program, which includes conducting exit interviews and maintaining related statistics.
- Execute terminations contracts to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

Disciplinary Process:
- Conduct disciplinary investigations in accordance with the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and the company's policies.
- Responsible for ensuring that any disciplinary investigations are conducted with fairness, impartiality, and a commitment to due process.
- Responsible for coaching managers on disciplinary processes. This will involve providing guidance on the appropriate steps to take when dealing with employee misconduct, including how to document incidents, hold meetings with employees, and issue disciplinary actions.
Employee Engagement:
- Review and approve of the referral program bonus for employees to ensure fairness and consistency.
- Responsible for updating salary analytics based on market trends, and maintaining accurate job descriptions that aid in employee promotions, succession planning, and performance review evaluations.
- Supporting the creation and implementation of the F.I.N. program for families in need. Ensure the confidentiality of employees who apply for the program and providing assistance with the screening process, working closely with the social committee to deliver information on each case received and help to create engagement with employees, maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Protect the organization's value by ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information. Maintaining strict confidentiality protocols and safeguarding confidential employee data, including personal and financial information, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Build trust and maintain a positive working relationship with employees and stakeholders, while also minimizing the risk of legal or reputational damage to the organization
- Serve as a mediator between the company and employees, helping to bridge employee relations by addressing demands, feedback, or other issues in a professional and empathetic manner.
Employee Management:
- Manage all international workers throughout their immigration process to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Update and maintain attendance reports to ensure accurate records of employee attendance and work hours.
- Create, handle, and execute performance reviews with operation managers helping them with increase, promotion, or contract termination decisions.
- Letter of employment for employees for different processes including immigration to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining effective communication channels with employees, with the goal of fostering a culture of openness and transparency. By ensuring that employees feel heard and understood, you will help to build trust and engagement, and create a positive work environment that is conducive to retaining top talent within the organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HR, and with at least 2 years in a supervisory role as an asset.
- CHRP designation or pursuing as an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Experience with recruitment metrics and other HR metrics.
- Ability to develop policies, programs, and procedures.
- Experience with immigration processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Highly skilled mediating difficult situation and conflict resolution
- Must be located in or willing to relocate to Sudbury, Ontario
