YESS (Youth Employment and Skills Strategy) Intake & Referral Worker
TNO - The Neighbourhood Organization (TNO) is a well-established community-based social and health service agency providing a wide range of programs and services supporting low-income and newcomer communities across Ontario and sometimes across different provinces through online services and referrals. We are seeking a YESS Intake & Referral Worker to join our team in a full-time contract role. TNO is a greatplace to work and we make a difference in the communities we serve.
You will be successful in this position if you possess a post-secondary diploma/degree in a related field, as well as one to three years of previous administrative and/or clerical experience, workplace training, and experience deemed acceptable. You possess a strong understanding of resources, programs, and services available to youth in the Greater Toronto Area. You have a thorough understanding of employment services and community information resources.
Reporting to the program Manager, the YESS Intake & Referral Worker will be the initial contact for all clients providing information and referrals as appropriate, conduct intake and assessment with youth to determine eligibility for the YESS program, assess client employability needs and discuss options to assist clients in meeting vocational goals.
Vaccination Requirement – You must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, subject to any valid medical or religious exemption from vaccination as provided by the Ontario Human Rights Code.
Screening – As a condition of employment, the successful applicant must complete a Vulnerable Sector Screening.
Job Type: Full-time contract position until July 26, 2024
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Some evenings and weekends will be required according to the programs need
