HOURS OF WORK :
The hours of work are approximate as schedules are subject to change with the operational needs of the Health Centre. Any changes made to the hours of work will be done in accordance with the terms of the Collective Agreement.

WHAT YOU’LL DO :
The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) District Stroke Program is i nvolved in the development, implementation, and evaluation of an organized stroke care delivery system across the continuum of stroke care in the HKPR District. The role involves the full scope of advanced nursing practice (education, leadership, clinical, administrative, and research) in support of the District Stroke Program.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING :
- Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario .
- Degree in Nursing required.
- Completed or current enrolment in Masters of Nursing Program or commitment to completion within five years required.
- Nursing Specialty Certificates related to stroke care across the continuum considered an asset.
- Minimum of three years recent clinical nursing experience in specialty area required.
- Completion of an Adult Education Course or experience with adult education.
- Knowledge of Program evaluation and current healthcare trends.
- Previous teaching experience with nurses in both classroom and clinical setting preferred.
- Completion of a Leadership Program would be an asset.
- Current BCLS.
- Membership in related professional association

- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer skills as required Microsoft Office, Visio, EPIC)
