Job Vacancy: Digital Fundraising & Marketing Specialist
Location: Anywhere in Canada
Reports to: Senior Digital Fundraising & Marketing Manager
Details: Full-time, Permanent, Unionized (Four day work week, Monday to Thursday, 28 hours/week)
Salary: $53,399 CAD per year (this amount will be prorated for partial years of service)

About the role:
Do you want to use your marketing skills to support Greenpeace’s mission for a green and peaceful future? Greenpeace Canada is looking for an experienced, ambitious, and creative marketing professional to join our team and contribute to our fast-growing digital fundraising program.
The ideal candidate will have a background in digital marketing or campaigning, with a strong focus on online advertising and communications.
Supporters are at the heart of Greenpeace and how we fund our important work. The Digital Fundraising & Marketing Specialist will be based within the Fundraising Team to support Greenpeace’s digital marketing efforts to recruit new supporters and donors.
Working closely with the digital and campaign teams, you will develop, plan and manage compelling fundraising and advocacy campaigns to support Greenpeace’s fundraising and mobilisation objectives.
You’ll also work collaboratively with external agencies and freelancers to produce compelling campaign creative and monitor campaign performance.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify campaign opportunities and develop new petitions in partnership with the digital and campaigns teams.
- Liaise with digital marketing agency to monitor online advertising campaign performance and develop new campaign plans.
- Provide direction, feedback and guidance for content creators to produce online advertising videos and graphics that align with campaign messaging and objectives.
- Spearhead, develop, and deliver engaging and effective digital fundraising campaigns that meet the goals of GPC’s organisational plan and digital fundraising strategy.
- With the involvement of the data team and consultants, conduct regular testing and optimization, and monitor and analyse results.
- Monitor progress towards lead generation and fundraising goals; analyse data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization.
- Develop and execute strategies to test new marketing channels to diversify acquisition sources and reach new audiences.
- Collaborate with Digital, Fundraising, Media and Campaign teams to maintain a consistent brand voice and message across all paid programs.
- Write and review persuasive copy for online advertising and email marketing campaigns to support Greenpeace’s lead generation and fundraising goals.
- Support with set-up and testing of email marketing campaigns on our email marketing software, Hubspot, as needed.
- Occasionally edit videos and graphics for social media, email, and web as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required skills and experience:
- 3-5 years work or voluntary experience in digital marketing or similar/related field.
- In-depth knowledge of paid marketing channels and technologies, including paid search, retargeting, social network advertising and more.
- Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Tag Manager, Google Optimize, Google Analytics, Google Looker.
- Ability to work with tools like Canva, Photoshop, and Lumen5 to produce GIFs, graphics, and short videos for social media, email, and web.
- Comfort and familiarity with CRM and email marketing software such as Hubspot.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic online environment, manage multiple projects and competing priorities, while keeping others on track to meet deadlines.
- Ability to use data and insight to inform future decisions, ability to work with Excel and Google spreadsheets to make calculations.
- You should be an excellent communicator, a great team player, and have a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation by actively sharing knowledge and striving for continuous improvement.
- Some knowledge and experience with campaigning in a digital context, general knowledge of environmental and social justice issues, and knowledge of the overall goals and intent of Greenpeace are required.
- Verbal and written English proficiency is required; French language proficiency is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of First Nations, Inuit and Métis languages are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of other languages that reflect the diversity of Canada’s many communities are also highly desirable
Candidates should understand and support the Greenpeace campaign tactics, including the use of peaceful civil disobedience.
Additional qualifications that are beneficial for this position but not essential include, but are not limited to:
- SEO skills and experience.
- French language proficiency or fluency.

Our generous benefits package includes 16 vacation days/4 weeks equivalent (prorated according to months of service per year); dental and extended medical insurance from day one; and a 4 day (28 hour) work week.
This position can be filled from anywhere in Canada with fast and reliable internet access. Greenpeace has offices in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
