Marketing Coordinator
Coors Event Centre is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our team in Saskatoon, SK.
Position Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the overall marketing strategy and execution of the company’s advertising programs. This includes managing the company’s marketing collateral, including posters, flyers, signage, and social media. You will be responsible for managing the company’s Instagram, Facebook and TikTok pages to elevate the marketing of events and broaden the reach of viewers. You will focus on building community through relevant and engaging content.
The ideal candidate is passionate about all aspects of social media, music, pop culture, current trends, and is excited to find new ways to expand the music venues social media presence. ideal candidate will have a passion for design and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
We are seeking a candidate with professional experience to join our growing team! Will be open to candidates with zero professional experience if they have the majority of other traits. The technical assets can be taught, however the drive and passion for music, social media and content creation must be something that comes as a natural part of your personality.
Starting wage will be based on knowledge, expertise, and how fast we feel you will excel in the role. We are looking for a long-term permanent candidate that is wanting to grow professionally within the industry. There are many avenues of promotion within the role and company and only seeking candidates that are interested in growing the position into a career.
Responsibilities:
- Create a strategy to strengthen Coors Event Centre’s existing relationship with their community on Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok.
- Create a strategy to strengthen Coors Event Centre’s existing relationship with their local community. Engaging with local businesses and marketing companies.
- Produce social media content daily for promoters, artists, and events.
- Stay on top of social media trends to stay relevant and effective.
- Monitor own and promoter generated content for potential opportunities.
- Present fresh ideas to brainstorms based on current trends.
- Develop consistent, actionable social media advertisements.
- Work closely with the promoter and venue team to align on content distribution and creation.
- Collaborate/Organize the Street Team.
- Create, organize and distribute posters and advertisements within the community,.
- Create platforms outside of social media for advertisements within our community.
Requirements:
- Be outgoing, personable, and social
- Have the ability to attend events solo, representing Coors Event Centre, engaging in content, and community engagement.
- Experience in social media, posting, creation, trends, reels etc.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks that vary in complexity and urgency.
- Possess content creation skills for in-house content creation (i.e. shoot, edit, and create in social content) based on promoter, venue direction.
- Possess content creation skills for in-house content creation (i.e. shoot, edit, and create in social content) from your own individual creativity.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize work. Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines and priorities.· Experience with Adobe Photoshop.
- Both written and verbal communication skills that are professional in nature are required for this position; ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, vendors, management, etc.
- Ability to write proposals; ability to edit documents; ability to speak at meetings; ability to write reports; ability to present presentations.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure is required; ability to adapt quickly under pressure is expected; ability to adapt quickly under deadline is expected. Willingness to be flexible/adaptable.
- Willingness to learn new technologies such as social media platforms.

- Must have a flexible schedule, role requires office work, remote work at varying hours of the day, evening, weekend.
- Job requires evening and weekend work during events creating, shooting, and posting social content.
- Can work in an office, and remotely.
- Schedule varies by candidate; however, ideal candidate will work 9AM-3PM at the office, leaving 10 hours of work outside of the office during the week for community engagement, attending events, posting to social media, working on ads, scheduling content.
- Ability to work in busy environments, with last minute urgent deadlines in addition to working in slow environments, utilizing downtime to be creative and proactively learn. There are very busy, and very slow months in the industry, and you will be required to stay productive and motivated in both styles of environments.
