Flaman Fitness has an exciting opportunity for you!!!! We currently have an opening for a talented, creative, and ambitious Marketing Associate to join our dynamic team!!! This is an entry level position consisting of working onsite 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday, and is based out of our Yellowhead location in Edmonton, Alberta.

We’re a thriving fitness equipment retailer looking for a multi-tasking superstar with a well-rounded skillset!!! As a Marketing Associate, you will play a crucial role in executing various marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness, customer engagement and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will be expected to contribute to multiple aspects of marketing, including digital, email, SEO and influencer marketing, content creation, campaign execution and data analysis.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Foster strong working relationships to effectively achieve shared goals
- Collaborate with the marketing team on developing and implementing digital marketing campaigns
- Prioritize tasks and/or projects for completion within designated deadlines
- Content creation & management (social media posts, blog content, website copy, product descriptions)
- Data analysis and reporting (monitor/analyze key marketing metrics and performance indicators)
- Identify areas of improvement
- Conduct market research (competitor analysis, identify trends, customer preferences etc)
- Remain updated on product knowledge and industry developments
- Provide recommendations for marketing strategies based on market insights
- Assist with maintaining consistent brand messaging and visual identity
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, marketing and customer service representatives, to gather input and align marketing efforts with business objectives
- Proactive problem solving and trouble shooting
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and protocols
- Bring your imagination and positivity to work
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Recognize the importance of establishing a connection with our customer base, catering to target markets
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 2+ years experience working in a similar marketing role (preferably e-commerce)
- Proficient in digital marketing channels and tools (various social media platforms, SEO/SEM techniques, email marketing, web analytics)
- Familiar with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems (an asset)
- Experience with image/video editing and basic coding (HTML & CSS)
- SEO writing (an asset)
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
- Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and design
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal & written)
- Professional, team player with a positive “can do” attitude
- Exceptional work ethic, motivated and driven to obtain goals
- Familiarity with fitness equipment and/or a strong interest in Fitness and Healthy Living (an asset)
- Have a great sense of humor!!
