The Position
The Balance in Life Spa has recently undergone a modern and contemporary facelift and we are looking for an ambitious professional therapist who loves to work in an engaging environment that is dedicated to providing exceptional services to their clients. We are a very successful spa with an ever expanding clientele with many repeat customers.
We are looking for a Registered Massage Therapist to work in our top class facility. Our therapists offer a variety of high end treatment options, including organic body services. Key Responsibilities
- Exercise qualified and professional treatments in accordance with CMTO standards
- Abide by the professionally accepted standard of hygiene established by the Ontario Ministry of Health
- Ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly sanitized or discarded
- Maintain a positive and caring service with a friendly and enthusiastic attitude
- Advise clients on skin and body care
- Attend organized seminars or training for therapists on improved services or new treatments
- Comply to dress codes and maintain a well-kept and tidy appearance
- Follow and complete treatment records directly related to primary responsibilities
- Comply to Casino and Hotel policies and procedures
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management
What You’ll Require
- Registered Massage Therapy diploma to meet Provincial regulations and/or accredited associations
- Valid Liability Insurance
- Experience is an asset; however we encourage recent graduates to apply
- Experience in direct customer care (hospitality or retail would be excellent)
- Good physical stamina
- French language skills (verbal and written) are an asset
- All employees at Casino Rama are expected to:
- Comply with the duties of workers or supervisors, as prescribed by Section 27 or 28 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Comply with all applicable Casino Rama Occupational Health and Safety policies, procedures and protocols
- Demonstrate a positive health and safety attitude to ensure Casino Rama continuously provides a safe entertainment destination for patrons and co-workers
Compensation: The RMT is paid an hourly rate (regardless if the RMT is performing a treatment or not) plus a competitive commission per service, plus gratuities.
Other: Uniforms, products, linens are provided by the spa. A coordinator schedules and organizes the RMT's day.
Hours: The spa is open from 9am to 9pm for services, 7 days a week. It is expected that the RMT will be scheduled an 8 hour shift, 2-3 shifts a week, with one weekend day per week.
