Job Description
The Heart Clinic is looking for a full time medical secretary/assistant. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and direct phone calls, schedule/reminding appointments, check-in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records.
- Administration duties like faxing, respond to emails etc.
- Check-out patients, assist with referral processing.
- Perform ECG, holter monitor and assist the doctor with stress testing and stress echo (training will be provided). 77
- Prepare equipment and examination rooms.
- Tidying up the medical office.
Qualifications:
- Completion of medical assistance certification program or equivalent medical office assisting experience. We are also willing to train.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to multi-task.
- Deadline oriented and effective time management skills. Team oriented
- Knowledge of OSCAR-EMR an asset
- Computer savvy. Very good to excellent typing skills.
- Able to take manual BP.
