Position Description:
- This position is part-time and will require someone who can work 20 hours per week.
- The Medical Billing Agent compiles, processes, verifies, and submits all monthly OHIP billing for payments for our Ontario clinics (our physicians are specialists).
- This role includes remittance review and processing and verifying physician payments.
- This role interacts with physicians and the accounting team, follows-up on any unpaid claims and OHIP collections, and compiles monthly OHIP and overhead summary reports for the accounting department.
Skills & Qualifications:
- At least 1 year+ of experience compiling, verifying, submitting, and reconciling OHIP billing.
- Experience dealing with specialized physician billings and high-volume medical billing is a strong asset.
- Professional, organized, detail oriented, accurate and responsive.
- Familiarity with EMR (Accuro) is also a strong asset.
