Job Description
This position is responsible for documenting and communicating exceptions related to the freight to both internal and external customers, workload direction within the department and performing other administrative duties as necessary.
· Requires the ability to problem solve while maintaining good customer service relationships.
· Perform overage, shortage and damage functions, including occasionally dock checks.
· Research information and generates reports as required.
· Requires occasional time on the dock to verify information about the actual freight
· Where possible this position will be responsible for identifying root causes to OS&D issues and bring to the attention of the appropriate manager or supervisor.
· This position is responsible for backing up other operational positions such as the gatehouse ( requires Auto dispatch system and 2-way radio communication)
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
· Able to communicate both verbally and in writing
· Good Organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
· Basic mathematical skills
· Attention to detail in all areas of work
· Computer literacy, including working skills of excel and email
· Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Working conditions:
· Fast-paced environment
· Office environment primarily, occasionally non- scheduled time on the dock
· Company dress code to be followed

Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
