Archipelago Rehab is a community-based Occupational Therapy company serving Vancouver Island. We are based in the Comox Valley on the traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation, and provide service from Port Hardy to Ladysmith and Tofino. We work with clients who have been involved in motor vehicle accidents or workplace incidents, conduct ergonomic assessments and information sessions, and provide medical legal services. As an OT-led small business, we are focused on providing the best service for our clients and funders, while creating an enjoyable work environment for you to reach your personal and professional goals. Job description
Archipelago Rehab is seeking applicants from across Vancouver Island for multiple community Occupational Therapist roles. Our focus is to build a strong team of therapists, within a network of local healthcare providers, to provide multidisciplinary care to help our clients get back to the activities they want and need to do. We are currently looking for OTs in Campbell River, the Comox Valley, and the Nanaimo/Oceanside areas, but are open to building a caseload in your community.

What you bring to the table:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC (or eligible for registration)
- Ability to independently manage caseload
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
- Commitment to post-graduate professional development
- Experience in private practice and return-to-work experience is an asset, but not required
- Experience and/or professional development in the areas of concussion/brain injury, mental health, exposure therapy, or return to work are assets
What your role will involve:
- Conducting assessments (interview, observation, and standardized assessments)
- Developing treatment plans within specific funding guidelines
- Providing interventions to address physical, cognitive, or emotional concerns
- Maintaining accurate and complete charting on electronic charting software
- Writing comprehensive reports
- Effectively communicating and collaborating with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholders in a timely manner
- Supervising rehabilitation assistants
- Traveling as needed within your region

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week
Salary: $55.00-$75.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Courtenay, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- occupational therapy: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Degree in OT and good standing with the College? (preferred)
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Courtenay, BC
