The Program
WJS Canada, provides community-based social services to families, persons with diverse abilities and youth to foster positive life changes, build skills and the confidence/resiliency to overcome life's challenges. Over the past 30 years, we've grown to a national social service agency of 700+ staff.
Located in our Central Administration office in Maple Ridge BC, with free on-site parking and close to the WestCoast Express!
In Your Role You Will
- Advise employees on a full range of employee group benefit plans.
- Answer inquiries, resolve employee benefits questions and makes adjustments to data and documentation.
- Process benefits applications and data entry of employee benefit data into databases.
- Help audit and reconcile benefit payables.
- Use Ceridian Dayforce HRIS to administer adds, changes, adjustments in HR, payroll and benefit applications.
- Support HR team with payroll administration tasks.
- Create, edit, revise letters, excel tables, reports, etc.
- Perform a wide range of HR operational support activities as assigned by the Human Resources management personnel.
- Miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

The Position
As an HR team member, you will draw upon your human resources, benefits administration and/or payroll skills and experience to tackle a variety of tasks and projects; where no two days look the same.

As An Ideal Candidate You Possess
- Certificate or Diploma in a related field (i.e. business administration, human resources)
- 2+ years experience in HR, benefit and/or payroll administration.
- Ceridian Dayforce HRIS payroll experience
- Knowledge and understanding of group benefit and payroll principles, practices, procedures and documentation; open enrollment systems and procedures; provincial and federal laws pertaining to employee benefits and personal income tax issues.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral), adept with spreadsheets/creating reports (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
