About the Role
The Recovery & Addictions Program Manager will have the responsibility to lead The Bridge’s efforts to engage youth experiencing problematic substance use in a bed-based withdrawal management and treatment facility.
The incumbent insures that policy, procedures, protocols, programs/curriculum, and standards of care reflect best practices and are consistent with safe and effective care delivery principles. He, she or they will provide leadership, supervision and support to a diverse staff team. This position will work closely with a Clinical support team for clinical consultation as required.
The incumbent ensures that the day-to-day operations of the services are delivered in accordance with The Bridge’s philosophy, policies, and procedures, and holds the safety and well-being of the people in care as their priority concern. This position provides ongoing program supervision, performance coaching and evaluation of all program employees, and, as a member of the agency Leadership Team, participates in a variety of agency initiatives and community and agency committees.
Position: Full Time 40 hours/week. Rotating on-call after-hours coverage for Recovery & Addiction program sites.
Compensation: $76,793.60 - $89,377.60 per year
Indirect Compensation
- Extended Health and Dental benefits after the 3 month probationary period
- 9.31% Pension matching after the 3 month probationary period
- Min. 3 weeks vacation pay which increases with length of service
- Additional five (5) days of paid leave per year as compensation for Recovery & Addictions rotational on-call responsibilities
- 1 paid wellness day per year
- Paid sick time which increases with length of service.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor degree in a relevant field of study
- 3-5 years of management/leadership/supervisory in 24/7 facility based services required
- Training and experience providing evidence-based responses to alcohol use disorder, substance use disorder and concurrent disorder
- Experience working within facility-based/residential services
- 5+ years of experience working in the addictions/substance use treatment field
- 5+ years of experience working with youth and families/caregivers
- Experience with Community Care Licensing
Skills
Excellent oral, written, facilitation and interpersonal communication skills- Demonstrated teamwork, leadership and supervisory skills
- Good time and general management skills
- Ability to work effectively with program staff, volunteers, and non-profit and government groups, agencies and organizations
Other requirements
Ability to provide proof of COVID 19 Vaccination or letter of exemption- Criminal Record Check including a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Clean, valid BC driver's license and use of reliable vehicle
