Senior Project Management Analyst

What’s the job?
The Senior Project Management Analyst will focus on day-to-day operations of the project management office. This includes onboarding and orientation for new staff, creating methodology tools & templates, create standard operating procedures for Project Management Office, reporting and go-live support, conducting audits, acting as liaison with key interlinking departments such as Finance (costing), Strategic Supplier Sourcing (procurement) and Strategy (annual operating planning). Lastly, you will work on continuous improvement in all of the above areas.
What you’ll get to do:
- Request, analyze, compile, validate and distribute enterprise project data (such as cost forecasts to senior leadership and executive) that supports governance and decision-making.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures for PMO and respond to all request so that project team knows what is expected of them and when.
- Analyze, identify and implement process improvements (via stakeholder engagement and analysis) on all current processes and workflows to reduce administrative overhead and non-value add activities.
- Lead quality assurance/quality control activities (e.g.; artifact reviews, project audits) to ensure compliance with internal/external audit requirements.
- Provide departmental orientation to project teams to minimize the time it take new staff to get up to speed at Coast.
- Create briefing notes (including benefits/challenge analysis on all options) to justify large-scale change within the project methodology and other departmental services.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor's Degree or a Diploma (requiring 3 - 4 years of full-time study or equivalent).
- 7-9 years of job related experience.
- An understanding of at least two standard approaches to methodology creation, such as Waterfall, WAgile, Agile, Benefits Realization Management, People Change Management, ITIL Change Management, Total Quality Management or Lean Design.
- Advanced experience in creating/supporting standard templates in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio etc.
- Comfortable with/able to learn administration of the departmental tools MS SharePoint, MS Project Server, MS Visio, Prosymmetry Tempus, and Microsoft Dynamics Nav etc.
- Training curriculum development, maintenance, and delivery.
- Knowledge of software configuration approaches and best practices to workflow design.
- Able to perform root cause analysis using the Seven Basic Quality Tools.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates a high degree of autonomy and accountability while managing and prioritizing a complex, heavy workload with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of financial industry business models and the regulatory environment in the Canadian context is an asset.
