Job Description
Responsibilities:
Assists the Project Manager and Superintendent with overall project performance including cost, schedule, safety and quality.
Assist in overall construction coordination, planning, identifying potential risks and resolving technical issues.
Performs quantity takeoffs and surveys to manage contract progress and reporting.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with trade partners through activities such as issuing tender packages, defining scopes of work, responding to inquires and monitoring progress.
Coordinate project team meetings/conference calls and prepare and distribute minutes.
Assist with project scheduling and ongoing management of the schedule.
Assists with change management and change order process, including pricing, processing, and assessing cost and schedule impact.
Oversee contract administration for multiple projects including requests for information, submittals, change orders and document control.
Track costs against budget. Ensure approval process adheres to protocols and vendors receive their payments on time.
Create, distribute and monitor deficiency punch lists an expedient manner and ensure quality standards.

Post-secondary degree or diploma in Project Management, Business Administration or similar discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the development / construction industry.
Candidate must be computer savvy and know how to troubleshoot software issues such are formatting, connectivity, errors, etc.
High level proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Project), specifically creation and maintenance of Excel Spreadsheets.
Familiarity with CCDC-type contracts is an asset.
Self-motivated and able to grasp new concepts quickly.
Demonstrate assertiveness, tact and diplomacy when working with consultants, trades suppliers and municipal staff.
A desire to learn new skills and an eagerness to grow within the role.
A valid driver’s license (in good standing) is mandatory.
