The Finance function is responsible for providing transactional accounting services and support, treasury, financial planning, analysis, reporting, commercial finance and financial systems & change support to all business units and functions throughout Computershare across all global locations.
The Finance Change Team manages and delivers the finance change initiatives (regulatory or as identified by finance process owners) related to finance processes, workflow, reports and systems integrations. In addition, it will set the finance system strategy and manage change initiatives. Furthermore, supporting transitions of future acquisitions or demergers.
A role you will love
The PM of Finance Process & Control works as a trusted advisor, working closely with the Finance Change Business Programme Manager and Finance Change IT Programme Manager. The role is the key engagement point for the Finance business units for Finance Change providing proactive, innovative and expert advice on how to deliver outcomes for the business.
The role serves as the strategic interface for the purpose of business technology and process strategy alignment, process optimization, future acquisitions, solution discovery, service management, and relationship management.
The role provides thought leadership on leading Finance practices and emerging technologies and expertise in leveraging the existing technology to enable the Finance goals of simplification, end-to-end process improvements, automation and innovation for the Finance business units.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Accountable for the successful delivery and embedding of Finance programs and projects in their business unit.
- Oversee and champion the innovation management process, encouraging the development of pilot projects and business cases for Business and IT innovations and improvements.
- Make use of process improvement techniques, such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other process improvement tools to support continuous improvement goals.
- Coordinate all finance communications for their functions to Computershare and external stakeholders.
- Act as the key liaison across all functional areas, including business units, the IT department, and external stakeholders.
- Set, and manage the delivery of the agreed business-as-usual projects across the finance portfolio.
- Provide an innovative approach to improvement of the portfolio, including assessment of any process optimization, new technologies and opportunity for automation.
- Support business change, including supporting future acquisitions or divestment transactions and ensuring Finance business units understand the financial and commercial benefits.
- Lead change impact assessment, training needs analysis, deployment, and change management activities.
- Develop documentation that correctly reflects current functionality, operating procedures and processes.
- Identify business-related risks, issues and dependencies in the development of the solution.
What will you bring to the role?
As you’ve probably gathered by now, we are looking for somebody with a real passion for details and process.
Required:
- Minimum Bachelors degree in Business, Commerce, or IT-related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a business process owner or business partnering in a Corporate and Finance environment
- Experience in working in agile environments and multi-disciplinary teams
Preferred:
- Lean/Six Sigma/Agile exposure or equivalent desired
- Accredited PMP/PMI/Prince2/PMBOK or equivalent certification
- Previous experience in the consulting industry, large financial services industry or similar
