Echelon Environmental specializes in custom designed technologies for treating storm water and groundwater before being discharged into receiving waters. Echelon is a dynamic company with projects throughout Ontario. Our main office is located in Markham. We are currently seeking to fill the position Project Manager - Stormwater Solutions. In this role the candidate will work closely with civil consulting firms, civil contractors and municipalities to assist in providing equipment designs to treat storm water and groundwater flows according to new municipal and provincial guidelines. The role will involve system design, product sales, manufacturing co-ordination and field installation. The position involves a mix of office work as well as engineering sales presentations to consultants and field support for product installation.

- Position – Hybrid - Markham Office 1-2 days per week (will vary)

- Travel Frequency – 1-5 times per month (will vary)
- Travel Territory – Ontario
Primary Responsibilities
- Respond to consultant requests and provide designs for stormwater treatment, groundwater treatment and storage systems.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of regulatory design requirements.
- Use in-house and external software tools to model performance of treatment systems.
- Produce product drawings in AutoCAD.
- Produce technical design reports and O&M manuals.
- Develop project costing and quote projects to private sector and government clients.
- Conduct formal training sessions for consultants on the features of our products and services.
- Manage and coordinate product fabrication and shipping to site.
- Provide onsite installation and commissioning support to civil and mechanical contractors for systems that we
- have designed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required (Civil preferred but we will also consider those with Chemical,
- Mechanical or Industrial Engineering)
- Must have minimum 2 years professional experience with technical product support that included end-user
- contact.
- Must have ability to learn quickly and have strong drive for continuous learning as technologies and regulations
- evolve.
- Must be proficient with AutoCAD, PowerPoint and WORD
- Must have strong organizational skills and ability for self-checking of work.
- Must have strong formal writing skills and have experience in organizing written technical reports.
- Must be highly adaptable and equally comfortable with office project design work or providing on-site field
- support for civil contractors.
- Must be comfortable in dynamic fast-paced environment managing multiple projects.
- Must have good presentation skills and experience in conducting training sessions for clients.
- Experience in the water resources field, civil construction or site development is a distinct advantage.
- Candidates without an engineering degree but over 5-years experience in these areas will also be considered.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
