PROJECT MANAGER – WORKFORCE STRATEGIES VR SOFT SKILLS
RESEARCH AND ACADEMIC INNOVATION
NorQuesters are difference makers and we’re searching for someone who can lead from where they are being boldly curious and intentionally courageous in the leadership and oversight of the overall strategic planning, operations, and management of day-to-day activities of the VR Soft Skills Project. This position is a 0.7 FTE term until March 31, 2025.
VR Soft Skills is an exciting grant project that address the employment needs of those who are underemployed by providing rapid skills training targeted to soft skills needs of both job seekers and employers to fill in demand jobs. This project will develop VR soft skills scenarios that can be used across a number of sectors including health, tech, finance, energy, retail, trades, and food service. The Project Manager will ensure that the timelines, milestones, and deliverables are adhered to and produced as per the funding agreement.

- Work with other project team members to ensure project goals are met, using professionalism and diplomacy to address complex and political issues.
- Build and maintain relationships with key partners, external organizations, institutions, and industries that will foster community engagement, client employment, and opportunities.
- Support and inform a marketing and engagement plan for the VR Soft Skills project.
- Establish outcomes, goals, and timelines, supporting team members to meet these goals through performance planning.
- Comply with College policies and procedures, and funder requirements, as well as provides advice to the Applied Research Manager where policies and procedures may need to be created or modified to meet the needs of the program.
- Ensure that the reporting positions function and operate professionally and effectively in support of the operational and business goals.
- Report on the VR Project activities and outcomes on a quarterly basis.
WHAT YOU BRING
Related post-secondary degree, or a combination of education and lived experience.- Knowledge in College policies and procedures.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products.
- Community, economic, or social development experience, including networking, community engagement, collaboration, or building relationships.

SALARY: $2,310 – $2,889 biweekly ($60,066 – $75,103 annually) Reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. This is a 0.7 FTE term position until March 31, 2025, with immediate access to our great pension and benefit programs prorated to your FTE.
