Turner & Townsend is looking for a Project Manager to support large-scale, ground-up and renovation construction projects with our prominent Industrial, Life Sciences and Technology (IS&T) clients. The role will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery, from inception through to commissioning and handover.

Job Description
Project Manager (Industrial, Science & Technology)
As a Project Manager, you will be involved in:
Contributing to our achievement of Turner & Townsend’s global vision
Contributing to our IS&T business plan objectives, and strategy
Establishing professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders (consultants and contractors) involved in the projects and programs we deliver
Working with the client to establish overall project cost, schedule, and budget
Managing and collaborating with client, consultant, and contractor teams to achieve project deliverables
Delivering clear and concise reporting to clients to provide visibility on project status, risks, and issues, and allow our clients to make timely and informed decisions
Setting up and lead meetings, transcribe meeting minutes and drive action items to closure.
Ensuring project compliance with client’s document controls and file specifications.
Administering a variety of contracts and master service agreements in accordance with project objectives and policies for the entire project lifecycle.
Attending up to weekly site visits when under construction some times travelling outside the GTA area in Ontario and Other Provinces around Canada.
Sound knowledge of Ontario Legislation with respect to Health & Safety
Oversee and manage the transfer of the building operations to the client including all close out documentation and warranties.
Liaison with the Constructor during construction to facilitate smooth transition to the Client/Tenant Fit Out / Operations Phase
Administering and coordinating project closeout documentation including lessons learned workshops
Qualifications
Sector Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience and a sound and suitable understanding of the following will be a distinct advantage in applying for this role:
Project and Program Management
Whilst we will consider candidates with a range of sector experience, candidates with experience in the following sectors are particularly sought.
Industrial Warehouses
Data Centres
High-Tech Manufacturing
Life Science Laboratories
Other highly serviced critical infrastructure projects
Sound knowledge of all disciplines related to IS&T
Contract Management
Scheduling (Software experience including MS Project, P6)
Collaborative approach and best-for-project attitude
Identifying and driving efficiencies and improvements through the project lifecycle
Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management and value engineering.
Advanced skills with spreadsheets, report writing and presentations.
Strong and professional communication skills, with great organization skills, ability to multi-task.
Must have a “team attitude”, be self-motivated and be willing to support other groups and projects when required.
Experience with business development, including developing business with existing and new clients, and cross-selling.
University/Technical College degree/certificate in Construction Management/Engineering or a related field.
Member of a relevant Professional Institute preferred.
