This opportunity…
This position as Senior Project Manager in Green Energy will manage Green (Renewable) Energy Projects on Yukon Government buildings. The position will be reporting to the Manager of the Green Energy Program at the Major Projects Branch, Property Management Division, Highways and Public Works.
The Major Projects Branch performs project management services for large scale capital projects and green energy projects through the Yukon. The program area includes the planning, regulatory approvals, design, construction of major Yukon Government (YG) capital projects.
The Senior Project Manager in Green Energy will be responsible for leading green energy projects on Yukon Government buildings and will have a significant part in the planning of the green energy program. The Senior Project Manager in Green Energy is an expert in leading teams, building strong working relationships, building construction and project management. The Senior Project Manager in Green Energy will be responsible to ensure project managers are supported in their roles, client relationships are maintained, building construction projects are delivered, planning of projects is executed and your teams are supported. The Senior Project Manager in Green Energy will oversee the design and construction of large scale renewable energy projects for buildings and major capital infrastructure, as well as planning future capital projects on Yukon Government buildings throughout Yukon Territory.

Essential Qualifications (what we’re looking for in your resume):
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet each of the following qualifications. Please note, selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
- A designation in engineering, architecture or project management or considerable experience as a project manager for capital infrastructure projects
- Significant experience managing capital infrastructure projects from initial planning to construction, including development and management of scope, procurement, budget, and schedule, preferably in the building construction and/or green energy industry
- Experience managing employees, contractors and consultants
- Experience with financial management (i.e., budgeting, planning, analysing financial data, procuring, etc.)
- Experience working with First Nation governments is an asset
- Experience in the Renewable Energy field is an asset
